Salt Marsh Opera offers "Broadway and Opera Favorites"

Salt Marsh Opera is continuing what has become a lovely tradition by performing its fifth open-air concert in Stonington.

The group will present "Broadway & Opera Favorites" Sunday on the grounds of the Old Lighthouse Museum, overlooking Fishers Island Sound.

Soprano Olanna Goudeau, tenor Joshua Collier and bass Adelmo Guidarelli (who will star in Salt Marsh's "Don Pasquale" this fall) will perform numbers ranging from Rodgers and Hammerstein to Puccini, from Sondheim to Rossini.

Concert-goers can bring picnics, chairs and blankets and enter the grounds any time after 5 p.m. The Stonington Historical Society will offer them free museum tours.

The concert benefits the Stonington Historical Society and Salt Marsh Opera.

Salt Marsh Opera will continue outdoor performances this summer, on Aug. 6 on Old Saybrook Town Green and Aug. 9 at the Ocean House in Watch Hill.
