New London — Police, firefighters and boaters are searching for a missing 6-year-old boy in the area of Greens Harbor Beach tonight.

Anthony Bernoudy is described as black, 3-foot, 10 inches tall. weighing 50 pounds. He has a mohawk-style haircut and was wearing dark blue swim trunks with a design, according to an emergency alert. He was last seen about 5:30 p.m.

A state police Silver Alert said the boy was last scene at the water's edge.

Divers were searching the water off the beach and police and firefighters had cordoned off a section off Pequot Avenue. Boats were also searching the water.
