A 32-year-old Westbrook woman was sentenced Thursday to 70 months in prison, followed by three years of supervised release, for her role in a takeover-style bank robbery in Killingworth last year.

Jennifer Jacques was sentenced by Chief U.S. District Judge Janet C. Hall in New Haven, according to a statement from Acting U.S. Attorney Deirdre M. Daly.

On Aug. 6, 2012, Jacques drove Marcus Dwyer and Dario Pabey to the TD Bank on Route 81 in Killingworth, authorities said. Dwyer and Pabey entered the bank wearing masks and held employees and customers at gunpoint while ordering an employee to open the bank vault. The pair also used zip ties to tie the hands of one bank employee and robbed patrons of their wallets, cellphones and car keys.

The two men forced one patron out of the bank and left with $43,573 in cash in the patron's car, later meeting Jacques at a preplanned location, authorities said.

In September 2012, after an indictment charging Dwyer and Pabey had been returned, Jacques traveled to New York to meet Dwyer, who was a fugitive from justice, and drove him to Connecticut, records show.

Dwyer was captured by the FBI and state police in New London on Sept. 19, 2012.

On Oct.17, 2012, Jacques pleaded guilty to one count of bank robbery. Dwyer and Pabey pleaded guilty to the same charge and were sentenced to prison terms of 188 months and 180 months, respectively.
