Is deer hunting cooperative?

I beg to differ with the News in Brief on Oct. 25. The article "Expanded deer hunting planned at Stone's Ranch," should have read: In an effort to meet statewide deer management objectives and reduce problems associated with high "human" densities, DEEP and the Connecticut National Guard agreed to administer a cooperative public hunting program.

A cooperation to kill is not exactly innovative. Using bows and arrows yet; why not have knife throwing? I call for some enlightenment here.
