Montville — An inmate at the Corrigan-Radgowski Correctional Center was charged with breach of peace Friday after he assaulted two correctional officers, causing minor injuries, police said.

State police said Kyle Freehart, 24, got into an argument with another inmate when a guard intervened. A short physical confrontation ensued between the guard and Freehart before Freehart was brought under control with the help of a second guard, state police said. Both guards sustained bruises, abrasions and contusions, police said.
