Motorists on Interstate 395 north in Montville swerve Tuesday to avoid a car that had spun out in the center median. Tuesday's snow and rain led to more than 1,000 calls to the state police related to slippery roadways. Police reported 94 calls about accidents, 21 of which caused injuries. There were also 160 calls for assistance with issues like spinouts and drivers stuck in snow banks, and 1,128 overall calls for help. State police remind people to reduce speed, use caution and remember to clean snow and ice off vehicles.
