The Day took a look at voter registration and party enrollment data. We pulled population data from the 2012 U.S. Census Bureau American Community Survey 5-year Estimates to calculate the number of voting age residents. We then calculated the voter registration rate for each town per 100 residents. Due to margins of error in the ACS estimates, some rates equaled over 100. Voter registration and party enrollment data was collected as of October 29, 2013 and is based on reports provided to the Secretary of State by the Registrars of Voters.
