O’Neill Puppetry Conference participants join for performances
The National Puppetry Conference is in full swing, and you — yes, you! — can see the inventive, entertaining results when conference participants stage shows this weekend. It’ll be a panoply of puppetry styles, and the creativity alone is always worth the price of admission.
During their time at the O’Neill, puppeteers have been studying everything from music composition to “Writing: Shape and Story,” and they have been dreaming up new works, too. Pieces that has been developed during that period will be featured in the performances, which bring together guest artists and artists-in-residence.
National Puppetry Conference, 7 p.m. Fri. and Sat., Eugene O’Neill Theater Center, 305 Great Neck Road, Waterford; $30; (860) 443-1238.
