North Korea is the most dangerous regime in the world today. They have developed a ballistic missile that could likely hit anywhere in the U.S. They may soon be able to add a nuclear warhead. Several past U.S. administrations have threatened to curb this advancement but have largely looked the other way as the regime has inched closer to its goal.

The current administration has stated a nuclear armed North Korea is unacceptable, which has also been stated by past administrations and other presidential candidates in the past election. On the eve of the summit between the U.S. and North Korean leader, an editorial expressing hope for a successful summit and defusing a threat to the U.S. and the rest of the world would have been appropriate. However in keeping with its constant barrage of anti-administration editorials that are published on a daily basis, The Day chose on the eve of the summit to instead publish cartoons mocking the summit and the initiatives taken by this administration.
