New London police issue Silver Alert for missing teen

New London — City police have issued a Silver Alert for a 16-year-old they describe as an endangered runaway.

Mackenzie Butler is described as a white female with brown hair and green eyes. She is 5 foot 6, police said, and weighs about 180 pounds. She was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, gray sweatpants and flip flops. She has been missing since earlier in the day Saturday, police said in a news release.

Anyone who may know Butler's location is asked to call city police at (860) 447-5269.
