Friends and Neighbors: New London Community Orchestra announces new leadership
The New London Community Orchestra has announced Hilarie Clark Moore as its new music director and conductor.
Moore, who holds a doctorate in music theory from Yale University, is currently music director of the Cheshire Symphony Orchestra and is founding director of Chamber Music by the River in Chester.
Moore was chosen after a process started in June, culminating with four auditions and feedback from orchestra members.
“The board is excited to welcome Hilarie as our new music director and very pleased that the membership survey clearly shows agreement with the choice,” NLCO said in a release. “Hilarie is very eager to get started.”
