Citizens Bank secures space on Bank Street in New London

New London — Citizens Bank has signed a lease for space in a building at Columbus Corner and has secured city approval that would allow it to open a bank branch there.

Citizens Bank, which operates a branch at 63 Eugene O’Neill Drive, signed a lease in early November for a 2,182-square-foot space on the ground level of 470 Bank St. Susan Howard at US Properties represented the property owner, and Logan Meyer of Cushman & Wakefield represented Citizens Bank.

Jasmine Thai Restaurant and Porter and Chester Institute both occupy space in the building, which is at the corner of Bank and Howard streets.

The city’s Office of Development and Planning has approved Citizens Bank’s request to complete renovations that include a new HVAC system, lighting and the addition of a drive-up ATM and night deposit box outside.
