Make a Difference: New London Community Meal Center

WHO: Mark, a 45-year-old man.

AGENCY: New London Community Meal Center.

HIS SITUATION: Mark works as a teacher and has a master's degree but currently is homeless. He is working closely with New London agencies to secure housing and get back on his feet.

WHAT TO GIVE: Mark needs about $400 to replace the tires on his car, which are nearly bald, so he can keep driving to work. Those who wish to donate gift cards to City Tire Co., which is at 82 Boston Post Road in Waterford, are free to do so. Mark also would be happy to get silverware, appliances or other furnishings to put in his new home once he has secured it.
