Mohegan Tribe to open Pasta Vita in Avon
Mohegan — Mohegan Holding Co., the Mohegan Tribe’s nongaming entity, will open another Pasta Vita location next month in Avon.
The “gourmet-to-go” retail food outlet, set to open March 12 at 32 W. Main St., will be the third opened by Mohegan/PV, a joint venture between Mohegan Holding and Pasta Vita, founded in 1996 as a wholesale pasta company in Old Saybrook.
The partnership operates locations at Mohegan Sun and in Wethersfield. The Avon location will encompass 3,700 square feet, including 2,500 square feet of retail space. It will employ 25 people, bringing Mohegan Holding’s Connecticut workforce to nearly 360, according to the tribe.
