Asking for your vote to serve on Groton RTM
My name is Bruce Jones and I am announcing my candidacy for 2019 Representative Town Meeting for Groton, District 7. My wife and I moved to Mystic/Groton in 2016. I worked for 30-plus years as a graphic designer and small business owner of Bruce Jones Design Inc. I authored several books and developed graphics software products.
I am married, with two grown daughters. I now have the time, energy and interest to become more involved in this community. I am involved with the Groton Democratic Committee, Groton Open Space Association and joined the board of SEC-TV. I also join in activities at the Groton Senior Center. I am excited to be a part of Groton.
I learned a lot from volunteering for the Groton Democratic Town Committee during the 2018 state elections. It is important to get involved in local government and our community. I am asking for your vote for RTM District 7 on Nov. 5.

Candidate for Groton City mayor lacks life experience
I would have greater faith in mayoral candidate Aundré Bumgardner’s ability to responsibly handle the City of Groton’s multi-million-dollar budget if he at least successfully rented his own apartment and lived independently, not to mention been employed in the private sector,...
