In this election for Montville Town Council I’ll be voting for more than a candidate. I’m voting for morals, values and tenacity. Colleen Rix is not only a lifelong resident of this town, but an advocate for us, our parents and our children. As someone who has known Ms. Rix for 30-plus years, I’ve seen the way her passion for social justice and second nature of making sure others are heard, make her the person for the job. She has experience on several town committees and has earned the respect of so many already with all her hard work and devotion to making this town a better place to live. She understands what works and has seen what doesn’t work for our local government. Ms. Rix is always one to weigh the options and work towards the best solution and thrives as a leader in our community. There are many people to choose from to fill the seats on this year’s council, but I’m a firm believer that it is in our best interest to be sure one of these seats has Colleen Rix’s name on it.
