Blumenthal seeks justice for the defenseless
I applaud Senator Richard Blumenthal for courageously putting the welfare of animals first and helping to pass the Preventing Animal Cruelty and Torture (PACT) Act. The PACT Act strengthens the 2010 Animal Crush Video Prohibition law by making animal cruelty a federal offense if it occurs on federal property or affects interstate commerce, regardless of whether a video is created.
It is exciting to see such a bipartisan bill pass through the Senate unanimously for a third time.
Clearly, everyone can agree that these heinous acts need to end. I commend you, Senator Blumenthal for making animals a priority and bringing justice to the defenseless.
