H.S. basketball: Fitch girls' remain unbeaten
Stonington — Alyssa Virtue had 14 points and 13 rebounds as Fitch remained unbeaten with a 39-25 Eastern Connecticut Conference South Division girls' basketball win over Stonington on Tueday night.
Charlotte Carney added nine points and nine rebounds for the Falcons (3-0) while Sophia Bell scored eight points and Sophia Fernholtz added eight rebounds for the Bears (1-3).
In other games:
• Lily Kramer had 21 points and 10 rebounds to highlight Waterford's 64-33 win over St. Bernard in the ECC South. Milena Walker added 16 points and 14 rebounds for the Lancers (2-1) and Brynn Holmes had eight points. Angelica Tompkins scored 18 points to lead the Saints (0-4) while Sophia Boras added 11.
• Sarah Ericson and Anajah Ingram scored 14 points apiece as No. 2 NFA remained unbeaten with a 46-27 win over Ledyard in the ECC South. The Wildcats are 4-0. Clare Inyang scored eight points for the Colonels (1-3).
• Woodstock Academy scored the game's final 23 points, including all 16 points in the fourth quarter, to rally past Lyman Memorial 46-27 in the ECC North on Monday night. Callie Nanos led the Bulldogs (0-2) with 11 points, including a pair of 3-pointers, while Kassidy LaTour added a 3-point and seven points.
Boys
• Marshall Gada scored 24 points as East Lyme outlasted New London 47-44 in the ECC South. The Vikings are 3-1. Tayeshawn Cunningham-Pemberton led the Whalers (2-2) with 16 points while Rhodia Perry added 12 and Davon Benjamin scored 11.
