    Auto briefs: Fuel cell collaboration, mountaintop retreat, Star Wars

    A fuel cell manufacturing collaboration between two automakers, a secluded getaway with a vehicle included in the deal, and a Star Wars themed vehicle appearance were among the items promoted by automakers recently.

    [naviga:li]General Motors and Honda have teamed up to mass produce an advanced fuel cell system. The joint venture, Fuel Cell System Manufacturing LLC, will be located within an existing GM battery pack manufacturing facility in Brownstown, Michigan. Each company is investing $85 million in the effort to improve the performance and reduce the cost of the technology. GM and Honda have been working together on fuel cell and hydrogen storage systems since 2013.[/naviga:li]

    [naviga:li]Volvo has established a "Get Away Lodge" in northern Sweden, encourage people to enjoy a peaceful vacation and "reconnect with their passions in life." The automaker is partnering with Tablet Hotels to invite people to the lodge, which comes with a yoga and contemplation room as well as a collection of winter sports gear. People who book the package will also receive a Volvo V90 Cross Country vehicle to explore the surroundings.[/naviga:li]

    [naviga:li]Nissan is bringing an enormous collection of Star Wars paraphernalia to its display at the Chicago Auto Show, which starts today and runs through Feb. 20. The automaker has partnered with Lucasfilm to promote both its Rogue model and the film "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story." The display will feature items such as models of the film's spacecraft, LED mirrors that appear to transform visitors into stormtroopers, a large inflatable Death Star, and a Nissan Rogue "Star Wars" Limited Edition model inspired by the film's X-wing fighter.[/naviga:li]
