Mohegan Holdings opening new Smashburger restaurant in R.I.
Mohegan Holding Co., the Mohegan Tribe’s nongaming business arm, announced Friday it will open its seventh Smashburger restaurant next week, in Johnston, R.I.
The new, 2,500-square-foot restaurant will have inside seating for 72 customers and additional patio seating. A ribbon-cutting is set for 11 a.m. Thursday at the new location, 1412 Atwood Ave. Doors will open to the public at noon.
The first 50 customers will receive free burgers for a year.
It will be Mohegan Holdings’ seventh Smashburger franchise, joining locations in Waterford, Manchester, Southington and Enfield, Conn.; Warwick, R.I.; and Attleboro, Mass.
Smashburger has more than 350 locations across the United States and internationally.
