Old Saybrook — Saybrook Point Resort & Marina is the new name of Saybrook Point Inn, Marina and Spa.

The new name is intended to reflect changes in the property’s offerings, the owners said.

“Saybrook Point has undergone a significant transformation since my parents purchased the property in 1980, evolving from a small hotel and marina to a top-rated destination for relaxation and wellness, dining, and boating,” said Stephen Tagliatela, third generation managing partner of the family business. “Our new name, Saybrook Point Resort & Marina, reflects the extensive amenities and level of service our dedicated staff provides to our guests."

The resort features 81 guestrooms in the main inn; “Tall Tales” and “Three Stories,” two luxury guesthouses; 24 villas; the Fresh Salt restaurant; a spa; a health club with indoor and outdoor heated saltwater pools; and event space.
