The Community Music School, 90 Main Street, Centerbrook, is now enrolling students for its fall semester, which begins on Wednesday, Sept. 8. One of the programs being offered is the New Horizons Band of the Connecticut Valley-Shore. Launched in 2009, this entry-level program of group instruction and ensemble performance for beginners and intermediates is designed to let adults who have never played an instrument, or who have not played for many years, experience the enjoyment of making music. A Music Theory class is also scheduled this fall as part of the New Horizons program.
