Third man pleads guilty in armed home invasion cases
A 25-year-old man pleaded Tuesday in New London Superior Court to taking part in home invasion robberies in Ledyard and Montville and a burglary at the community center on the Mashantucket Pequot reservation.
Louis Seignious will be sentenced March 19 to 12 years in prison, suspended after five years served, followed by three years of probation. His co-defendants, Vincent A. Sebastian III, 22, and Dawayne Sebastian, 21, received similar sentences recently.
The three men broke into a home on Marla Drive in Ledyard on Oct. 14, 2011, armed with guns, and demanded money and drugs from the homeowners, according to prosecutor Paul J. Narducci. They realized they were in the wrong home and left without taking anything, he said.
The men also broke into a house on Sunny Hill Drive in Montville on Oct. 3, 2011, armed with weapons, and stole marijuana from the occupants, according to Narducci. Additionally, Seignious and another man burglarized the Mashantucket Community Center in June 2010, stealing a camera and gift cards, Narducci said.
Seignious has been held in lieu of $528,000 since October 2011, according to the Department of Correction. He is currently incarcerated at the Northern Correctional Institution in Somers.
