No verdict yet in Mohegan casino robbery trial

New London - Jury deliberations ended early Friday without a verdict in the case of a Norwalk man charged in a 2010 robbery in a parking lot at Mohegan Sun Casino.

Sharnon I. Lee, 37, is charged with first-degree robbery and second-degree larceny in the case. The prosecution alleges that Lee followed a casino patron to his car and robbed him of $3,800 and a cell phone. Lee was unemployed at the time of the robbery and had lost about $2,000 while gambling that day, according to testimony at his trial.

Lee was captured on casino surveillance video following the robbery victim to his vehicle, though the footage does not show the robbery.

The six-member jury is expected to resume deliberations at New London Superior Court on Monday. Jurors were dismissed early Friday after Judge Kevin P. McMahon left for a personal issue.
