ValleyCats rally late to defeat Tigers 3-1

Tyler White's RBI single scored Chan Moon with two outs in the top of the eighth inning as the Tri-City ValleyCats rallied to beat the Connecticut Tigers on Thursday, 3-1, in a New York-Penn League played before 1,500 at Dodd Stadium.
Tri-City scored one run in each of the final three innings.
Michael Martinez had a solo home run and two RBI for the ValleyCats (33-23) and White added three hits.
Dominic Ficociello's double scored Steven Negron (two hits) in the first inning for the Tigers (25-30). Starting pitcher Chase Edwards allowed just one hit over five innings with no runs, three strikeouts and a walk.
