Noteworthy:

-- South Florida is mired in a funk, dropping eight of its last nine games. Only Big East win came against Georgetown (61-58) on Jan. 19.

-- The Huskies have dominated series, owning a 9-1 edge. Only loss was on the road in 2010.

-- Boatright has been UConn's most consistent scorer, hitting double figures in a team-best 13 straight games.

-- UConn has the highest scorer trio in the Big East, as Boatright, Napier and Daniels average a combined 46.9 points per game.

-- The Huskies are 9-1 at home this season. The Bulls are 2-5 on the road.

-- Patience will be key for UConn today. South Florida will attempt to slow the game down.

"It's going to be a game where it's going to get down to the end of the shot clock and can we have the patient to stay in the possession," coach Kevin Ollie said. "And, hopefully, we can do that." 

-- Top reserve: Guard Jawanza Poland (10.1 pts, 4.7 rebs)

-- Olander is way overdue for a break-out game. He has scored a total of 10 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in the last four games.

"With Tyler, I expect him to get more rebounds, I expect him to hit more people," Ollie said. "That’s what I’m going to demand and I know that’s what he demands of himself. He’s going to get better."
