    UConn suspends Olander

Senior Tyler Olander was suspended indefinitely from the UConn men's basketball team for violating team rules after being charged with DUI.

According to an Associated Press report, Olander was stopped by the Connecticut state police on Saturday night near the Storrs campus and charged with operating under the influence of drugs or alcohol, operating an unregistered motor vehicle and operating a vehicle in violation of license classification. He failed a field sobriety test.

It is his second arrest since late March.

Olander was charged with trespassing while attending spring break in Panama City, Fla. He was ordered to participate in a pre-trial diversion program as part of his court-mandated punishment.

Coach Kevin Ollie disciplined Olander, taking away the forward's captain status and barring him from team activities.

Olander, who's from Mansfield and attended E.O. Smith, is projected to be a member of the starting lineup this upcoming season.

He averaged 4.3 points and 3.7 rebounds in 29 games last season. He missed the regular season finale after suffering a fractured left foot and had off-season surgery.
