Groton — Patricia (Connelly) Hurteau of Groton, passed away July 19, 2008, with her family by her side.

Patricia was born April 2, 1934, to Andrew and Catherine (Browne) Connelly in New York, N.Y., where she lived until she married Robert and had three children.

She spent many years in the nursing field, helping the elderly. Patricia was active in her community. She enjoyed her role as the president of the Groton Senior Center and was proud of her work there. What made her happiest in life was her loving family and friends. Patricia was truly a loving person who saw the best in all those around her.

She was preceded in death, by her husband, Robert Hurteau.

Patricia is survived and will be dearly missed by her three children, and their families, her son and daughter-in-law David and Sue Hurteau, daughter and son-in-law Donna and William Lee, daughter Linda Hurteau; four grandchildren, Michelle and husband Hans Neff, Jessica and husband Eric Yelsits, David Hurteau Jr., Devon Hurteau; and two great grand-children, Samuel and Benjamin Neff; she is also survived by her sister, Ursula Harrison; and nephews Donald, Andrew, and Michael Harrison; as well as many loving friends.

A Memorial Service celebrating her life will be held at 11 a.m., on Saturday, July 26, 2008, at the Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, historic downtown Mystic.
