You know the New London Christmas Tree? The one on State Street near Parade Plaza? It’s been set up since, what, late September?

Yes, THAT one.

Well, the tree’s tired of waiting and so are we! Thankfully, it’s going to be officially illuminated at 5 p.m. Friday. And the multi-colored glow shall provide warmth, comfort and cheer!

Performing at the ceremony are The Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club Latino Children Choir; Krystalia Arroyo; the New London Visual & Performing Arts Magnet School Dance Program; and the Shoreline Ringers bell choir.

Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive in a holiday light parade sponsored by the NLC Jeep Club and remain after the ceremony to greet folks.
