To cover or not to cover?

Elton Lammie of Chicken Fried, a Zac Brown Band tribute act (submitted)

You know how archaeologists and paleontologists look at our world and try to answer questions about what the world was like before Man?

Someday, cultural and arts historians will ask similar questions and develop theories. Stuff like, “We’re trying to determine why small musical conglomerates were called ‘tribute bands.’ Discoveries and relics suggest there were THOUSANDS of these ‘tribute bands.’ But where did they come from and what does that mean?

“Were they attempting to pay homage to prior – and unknown – musical deities? Or copying their work for some arcane or ritually pagan reason?”

On Friday, free the musical historian inside you! See Cars tribute band Candy O at the Barn in Groton or hit the Mohegan Sun Patio Bar and enjoy the sounds of the Zac Brown Band as delivered by copyists Chicken Fried. And LoVeSeXy does a Prince show in New London’s Ocean Beach Park.
