    Peter, Paul & legendary

Folk legends Noel “Paul” Stookey and Peter Yarrow perform Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at The Kate in Old Saybrook.

In this July 20, 2014, file photo, singer-songwriter Peter Yarrow, of the 1960s era musical trio "Peter Paul and Mary," claps and encourages the audience to sing along during a memorial tribute concert for folk icon and civil rights activist Pete Seeger at Lincoln Center's Damrosch Park in New York.

It’s fairly routine to describe their work as timeless – particularly the recordings and concerts with their late partner Mary Travers – but apparently it really IS timeless inasmuch as each gentleman is 85 and shows no sign of putting on the brakes.

Expect to reacquaint yourself with songs such as “Weave Me the Sunshine,” “Leaving on a Jet Plane,” “Light One Candle,” “If I Had a Hammer,” “This Land is Your Land” and certainly “Puff the Magic Dragon,” which describes peculiar goings-on in someplace called Honah Lee.

Peter Yarrow and Noel “Paul” Stookey, 7:30 p.m. Mon.-Wed., Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center, 300 Main St., Old Saybrook; $89; thekate.org, (860) 510-0453.
