Basque Fest New London takes place Saturday on Parade Plaza
The New England Basque Club will host Basque Fest, their largest event ever, Saturday in New London on the Parade Plaza.
The Basque people, indigenous to a region along the Spanish/French borders, are noted for a fascinating and rich culture. The festival celebrates the Basque's distinctive dance, music, art, rural sports and cuisine — including on-site snacks called pintxos as well as a paella tasting.
These people are fun, and it makes me wonder why I couldn't have been born Basque!
Good to know: There are a limited amount of tickets, and they're being sold in advance via Eventbrite.
