Olde Mistick Village begins its run of holiday festivities this weekend, with Santa and Mrs. Claus greeting kids from noon to 3 p.m. Friday and Saturday in the Meeting Hourse.

On Dec. 1, it will host is annual Holiday Carnival at Olde Mistick Village. From 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., there will be free entertainment in the village, ranging from the Fly-by-Night Comedy Jugglers performance to the Mystic River Chorale singing to a live Birds of Prey demonstration hosted by the Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center at the Duck Pond from 2 to 2:45 p.m.

Dec. 7 will be the Festival of Lights at Olde Mistick Village, where, from dusk to 9:30 p.m. more than 6,000 luminaries will light the walkways of Olde Mistick Village and the surrounding area. There will be outdoor entertainment and complimentary refreshments from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Meeting House. Santa and Mrs. Claus will appear on the Village Green to greet children from 6 to 9 p.m.

Olde Mistick Village is located at 27 Coogan Boulevard, Mystic.
