Artists’ Cooperative Gallery of Westerly is 'Finding Joy in Winter'

Lois Lawrence, "Winter on The Farm," Oil

Art lovers are invited to stroll into the Artists’ Cooperative Gallery of Westerly at the historic Westerly Train Station and discover what artists love about the season in February’s show “Finding Joy in Winter," running Feb. 4-28.

This will be the gallery’s third show since reopening the Train Station Gallery in October. The gallery has a new weekly schedule and hours: 1-5 p.m. Thursday-Sunday. ACGOW artists continued to show their work virtually from June through October, and those online shows can still be viewed at the website westerlyarts.com.

“Finding Joy in Winter” features a variety of work by the juried artists of ACGOW. This collection of fine art, by local artists from Rhode Island and Connecticut, includes a large selection of oils, watercolors, acrylics, multimedia, photographs, pottery, handcrafted jewelry, woodwork, fiber arts, glass, sculpture, mobiles and more.

ACGOW is following Rhode Island COVID guidelines for cleaning, provision of hand sanitizer, mandatory use of facial masks, physical distancing between guests, and overall capacity in-gallery. There will be no Opening Reception at this time because of safety precautions.

The gallery is located at 14 Railroad Ave. Call (401) 596-2221 with any questions, and/or visit www.westerlyarts.com or the ACGOW Facebook page.
