On a kilt trip at the Rhode Island Scottish Highland Festival
Scottish festivals have the most entertaining contests. Where else will competitions judge you on how far you can throw a stone or toss a caber? Or on the merits of your Bonnie Knees?
All that and, of course, much more will be part of the 15th annual Rhode Island Scottish Highland Festival on Saturday in Richmond, R.I.
The Mysic Scottish Country Dancers will offer demos and lessons. The Celtic Harpers will perform.
Expect a pipe band competition, sheepherding demonstrations, children's games, food, and on it goes, all in the Scottish spirit.
