"Sopranos" star Vincent Pastore heads to Foxwoods for comedy show

Actor Vincent Pastore (Scott Roth, Invision/AP)

Fans of “The Sopranos,” take heed: “Sopranos” star Vincent Pastore (the man who played mobster Salvatore Bonpensiero) will be headed to Foxwoods Saturday for a standup comedy show of his own. Considering that this guy has the most stereotypical New York City mob-boss voice one could imagine, that might be reason enough to see him onstage.

Since “Sopranos” ended in 2007, Pastore has continued to have a long, successful acting career, both on fictional television shows and on reality TV (stints included “Celebrity Apprentice,” “Dancing with the Stars” and “Celebrity Family Feud”). And since 2004, Pastore has hosted his own Sirius Satellite Radio show, “The Wiseguy Show,” a weekly three-hour celebration of Italian-American culture.

At Foxwoods, Pastore will be accompanied by “Goumba Johnny” Sialiano, an Italian, New York-born comedian known for his roasts, which have included one of Pastore himself. One can only imagine, then, how the two will work the stage together. Will Sialiano crack jokes on Pastore? Will Pastore hurl back insults of his own? Will they entertain with their innumerable New York-Italian tropes? You’ll have to go to find out.

“Fuhgeddaboudit Comedy: With Vincent Pastore & Goumba Johnny,” 8 p.m., Saturday, Foxwoods’ Fox Theater; $33; 1-800-200-2882.
