It’s funny how St. Patrick’s Day parades are rarely held on the actual St. Patrick’s Day.

New London, though, serves up its Irish exactly on March 17.

So this Sunday, the streets of downtown will welcome the procession starting at 1 p.m., with dancers, marchers and people celebrating the wearing of the green. They’ll travel along Bank Street and then State and Washington streets.
