Retired Day deputy editor signs book the newspaper's history
Before he retired from his longtime job as deputy editorial editor here at The Day, Greg Stone authored an in-depth history of the newspaper.
Published in 2000, "The Day Paper" is a compelling and enjoyably readable book explaining the distinctive trust established by founder Theodore Bodenwein to perpetuate our mission and solvency with a commitment to the wellbeing of the community. A reappearance by the book is particularly timely given the status of print journalism in a social media-driven world.
Oh: Am I in it? Well, you'll have to read it and find out!
Stone will discuss and sign copies of "The Day Paper" Saturday at Title IX Bookshop in New London.
