Beer tip: Samuel Adams Harvest Collection

You're having some friends over to watch the game - or better yet, they've invited you over - and you need some beer. Mixed 12-packs are a good bet for a crowd because they offer up a variety of styles. This fall, I've been grabbing the Harvest Collection. There's two each of the outstanding Octoberfest, the always-steady Boston Lager, two new styles (Hazel Brown and Ruby Mild), the hoppy Latitude 48 IPA and the in-season Harvest Pumpkin. Grab the sweet Ruby Mild before someone else does. And, trust me, someone will drink the Pumpkin. A mixed 12-pack is only as good as its worst beer and there's not a bad brew in this bunch.
