A New Look and Web site for Grace

Welcome to graceforwomen.com, the new Web site for Grace magazine. This is a pretty exciting time for us here at Grace. Not only have we launched this site, but we've redesigned the print version of the magazine as well by making it glossy throughout, updating the design with a more sophisticated look and adding new features and content.

If you haven't seen the magazine yet it's available in today's Day. Here at graceforwomen.com you'll find all the great content you've come to love in Grace, but a great deal of expanded material as well, including columns and blogs covering a wide range of topics, such as fashion, book reviews, family life, fitness, home interiors, finance and more.

Since its inception five years ago Grace has proven a popular magazine with The Day's female readers and these recent changes were undertaken to give you more of what you've come to love about Grace.

I've been Grace's editor for roughly the last two years and I'm still amazed by the diversity, courage, strength and wisdom of some of the women we've profiled. In this blog space I'm hoping to do things like talk to you about some of the stories we've published, maybe explain some of the thinking and the process that went into them. I'm also hoping it's a place where we women can just get together and … talk. Not unlike what we do around the office or at the coffee bar (or at the real bar, for that matter!)

Before we do that, let me just introduce you quickly to the other women here in our offices who make up Grace. There's Katrina T. Gathers, you'll see her face on this Web site as well. She's a staff writer for Grace and a longtime reporter at The Day. Besides her articles, she'll be writing a couple of blogs for graceforwomen.com, one about fashion, style and celebrities, as well as one about family matters and relationships.

There's an important face you don't see here. That's Maria Reagan, Grace's designer and the art director here in the department that produces Grace as well as numerous other custom publications of The Day. Simply put, I'm responsible for Grace's content and Maria's the driving design force behind the design of this magazine, both the online and print version, and all of our magazines.

There are lots of other women who help make Grace what it is – other writers here at the newspaper who provide content on occasion, guest bloggers and columnists who will appear from time to time on the Web site, some of them possibly you. So don't be shy. Tell us what you think of this site as well as our redesigned print version of Grace.

And as always, if you have story ideas or suggestions for Grace contact us with them anytime.

Comment threads are monitored for 48 hours after publication and then closed.
