Tell Me Something: Shane Valle brings it like Broadway

As drama director at Waterford High School, Shane Valle encourages his students to be their authentic selves.

Tell Me Something is a Q&A feature that spotlights interesting people doing interesting things. It appears every Monday on graceforwomen.com.

Shane Valle, an Old Lyme native and resident of New London, is entering his 10th year as the drama director at Waterford High School. His program, WATERFORDrama, is one of the top high school theater groups in the state. Their productions of "Les Miserables," "Fiddler on the Roof," "The Laramie Project," "Noises Off," "The Diary of Anne Frank" and "Guys and Dolls" among others, have repeatedly been classified as "so much more than high school theater." Valle calls WATERFORDrama "a little bit of Broadway in your own backyard."
