    H.S. lacrosse: Karlie Rowe scores 200th goal as East Lyme tops Ledyard

    East Lyme — Senior Karlie Rowe scored six times to become the first player in East Lyme High School program history to score career 200 goals as the Vikings defeated Ledyard 13-6 to win the Eastern Connecticut Conference Division I girls' lacrosse title on Thursday night.

    It was the 13th straight divisional title for East Lyme, which will be the favorite to repeat in next week's ECC tournament.

    Caroline Healy had three goals and three assists and Kristen Healy had two goals and two assists for the Vikings (10-5, 3-0). Caroline Real and Ellie McCoy also scored and Maya Rose added 10 saves.

    Meg Larmann had two goals and three assists for the Colonels (6-10, 0-3). Renee Dupuis, Maddie Pipech, Avery Samokar and Steph Vetrano also scored.

    In other games:

    • Waterford's Jacklyn Lavoie set the program's career goal-scoring record during the Lancers' 16-5 win over St. Bernard in an ECC Division II game. Lavoie scored three goals and now has 142, one more than the previous record of 141 set by Christine Lillis in 2010.

    Megan Foley led Waterford (6-8, 1-3) with five goals while Olivia Gianakos finished with a goal and six assists, Grace Briggs had three goals and two assists, Kaylee Swansen scored twice, Megan Joyner once and Emma Brown had two assists. Mia Londregan scored four goals, including the 100th of her career, to lead the Saints (5-9, 1-4) while Bridget Feeley added a goal and one assist.

    • Kate Johnson scored five goals and won 11 of 16 draws as Stonington moved a step closer to a share of the ECC Division II title with a 17-4 win over Griswold. The Bears (11-4, 4-1) can finish as tri-champions with Bacon Academy and Woodstock with a win over St. Bernard on Saturday. Hannah Lamb added four goals and two assists for Stonington while Emma Sabbadini finished with two goals and five assists, Olivia Feliciano had three goals and one assist and Cat Cassata scored a pair of goals.

    • Bacon wrapped up its share of the ECC Division II title with 17-12 win over Montville. Kenzie Ullrich had five goals and an assist, Alexis DeLucia scored five times and Jenna Banta had a goal and an assist for Montville (2-12, 0-5). Molly Kelly had five goals and Kate Blakley and Sarah Galan each scored four for Bacon (12-3, 5-1).

    • Lydia Tinnerello had six goals and an assist and Daisy Colvin had five goals and an assist as Old Lyme beat Morgan 16-10 in a Shoreline Conference game. Anna Sather scored twice, Paige Britton had a goal and an assist and Emily Erne made 21 saves for the Wildcats (10-5, 8-1).

    • Williams School was selected to play in the WNEPSSA Class C tournament and is seeded fourth. The Blues (12-1) will play at No. 1 Ethel Walker on Saturday at 3 p.m. 

    Boys

    • Noah Mocksfield scored six goals to lead Bacon to a 15-6 win over Montville in an ECC Division II game. Joey Adams scored twice, Sean Ventresca had a goal and an assist and Stevie Turchetta made 13 saves for Montville (7-8, 2-3).
