    • Seniors Andrew Haas and Chris Salemme helped lead East Lyme to a 34-13 win over Branford in a nonleague game. Haas rushed for 137 yards on 12 carries and capped off the scoring with a 69-yard touchdown run and Salemme was 8-for-13 passing for 138 yards and two touchdowns.

"This was probably our first complete game that we played as a team,'' said East Lyme coach Rudy Bagos. "Offense, defense, special teams all came together, which was good to see.''

Junior middle linebacker Cam Hart led the defense with 14 tackles and a sack and Scott Galbo and Will Flaherty had interceptions for the Vikings (4-5). Blane Hart, Cam's twin, scored a pair of touchdowns. He caught a 23-yard TD pass from Noah Perry and broke the game open with a 37-yard scoring run early in the second half, giving East Lyme a 20-7 lead.

Spencer Duthrie caught a 33-yard touchdown pass from Salemme in the first half and Galbo caught a 34-yard TD pass from Salemme in the second half. Will Anglin was 4-for-5 in extra point attempts for East Lyme, which ends its season with a game at Waterford on Thanksgiving.

"It's such a short week that we just want to make sure we stay healthy,'' said Bagos. "We've got to make sure these guys are ready for it and they know that in these Thanksgiving games anybody can win.''
