All-Area winter teams to be published over eight days starting Sunday
The Day will begin publishing its Winter All-Area teams in Sunday's edition, a connection to our local high school athletes which brings us great pride.
The eight teams, made up of athletes from our coverage area, will include an all-star team selected by our six-person sports staff, as well as a player of the year. The schedule for publication is as follows: Sunday, boys' indoor track & field; Monday, girls' indoor track & field; Tuesday, hockey; Wednesday, gymnastics; Thursday, April 2, swimming & diving; Friday, April 3, wrestling; Saturday, April 4, girls' basketball; and Sunday, April 5, boys' basketball.
Thank you to director of photography Sean Elliot for our player of the year portraits and director of multimedia Peter Huoppi for the accompanying videos which will be available online.
My staff and I thank you for your continued readership and we hope to see you all back out on the playing fields as soon as possible.
