    H.S. lacrosse roundup: Cox leads Old Lyme boys to victory

    Old Lyme — Nick Cox had seven goals and two assists to pace Old Lyme to its first win of the season, beating Old Saybrook 14-8 in a Shoreline Conference boys' lacrosse game on Tuesday.

    Sam Mullaney had four goals and an assist for Old Lyme (1-5, 1-3) and Masson Bussman had two goals and two assists.

    In other games:

    • Quinn Perkins and Anthony Ballestrini combined for 14 goals as NFA beat Montville 17-6. Perkins had eight goals and two assists and Ballestrini had six goals and four assists for the Wildcats (2-3). Also, Thomas Brunelli had two goals and an assist and Logan Jenkins had three assists. Jayden Sherwood scored three goals and Colby Cowan had two goals and an assist for Montville (0-5).

    • East Lyme lost to Hand 17-5 in a nonleague game. Anthony Gesino scored three goals, Sean McCusker had a goal and an assist, Jack Keating had a goal and Mason Gallo and Spencer Sherman combined to make seven saves for East Lyme (4-3). 

    Girls

    • Emily Gates had four goals and an assist and Madison Gates scored three times as Waterford beat Woodstock 12-1 in an Eastern Connecticut Conference Division II game. Marin Mahoney had two goals and an assist, Victoria Sturm had a goal and two assists, Ella Bousquet had a goal and an assist, Ilyanna Rivera made six saves and Sophia Scarpa and Tess Briggs each had an assist for Waterford (5-1, 4-0).

    • Emma Logel scored six times for Stonington in its 14-7 win over Montville in an ECC Division II game. Gabby Dimock had four goals and two assists for Stonington (6-1, 4-1) and Ivy Goodman had three goals and two assists.

    • Emily Campbell had four goals and four assists as Killingly topped St. Bernard, 11-3, in an ECC Division III game. Hailey Badtke and Makala Dube scored twice for Killingly. Emily Hernandez, Li Liu and Erin Londregan scored for the Saints (0-4, 0-2).

    • Lily Coty had four goals and two assists as Old Saybrook beat Old Lyme 12-7 in a Shoreline Conference game. Caroline Crolius had three goals, Emily Mesham scored twice and Kaela Hoss made 10 saves for Old Lyme (2-4, 1-3). Sydney Goulding had three assists, Ella Curtiss-Reardon had a goal and two assists, Grace Arnold scored a goal and Bella Orlando had an assist for the Wildcats.

    • Skylar Frost scored on a free position shot in overtime to lift Williams School to an 11-10 win over Harvey School on Monday. Ally Iacobellis of Williams scored with 12 seconds left in regulation to send the game into overtime. Lucy Fader led Williams (2-2) with four goals and an assist and Frost had three goals. Amaya Butler and Iacobelis each scored twice, Maria Angelini made 10 saves and Sophia Guinan and Marlee Anselmi led the Blues' defense.
