    Indians stay unbeaten in ECC Medium girls' track

    Montville — Jessica Bennett won the 800, 1,600 and 3,200 meters on Wednesday and the Montville High School girls' track team defeated Windham 90-60, remaining unbeaten in the Eastern Connecticut Conference Medium Division.

    Nikkia Smith (shot put, 36 feet, 2 inches) and Shatajah Wattely (200 meters, 26.8 seconds) set school records for the Indians (5-1, 4-0).

    In other meets:

    â–  Marina Giovannini won the 100 hurdles (19.68) and joined Mara Anderson, Kristine Parnell and Susan Bennett on the winning 4x400 relay team, pacing Lyman Memorial past St. Bernard 119-21 in the ECC Small Division. Anderson also won the 400 (1:05).

    â–  Becca Banker placed first in the high jump (4-10) and long jump (16-1), lifting East Lyme past Waterford 109-40 in the ECC Large Division. Kendal Blackmon won the 400 (65.1) for East Lyme (5-0, 3-0). Sarah Huang finished first in the 1,600 (5:28.5) for Waterford (2-4, 1-3).

    Boys

    â–  Dan Shenkle won the 400 and high jump and Caleb Ossuniyi won the 100 and 200 as Lyman Memorial defeated St. Bernard 103-37 in the ECC Small Division. Dan Fields won the 1,600 and 3,200 for Lyman (3-2, 3-0). R.J. Masurkiewicz won the long jump and triple jump for St. Bernard (0-6, 0-4).

    â–  Sotana Keth won the 100 and 200 and Waterford defeated East Lyme 93-57 in the ECC Large Division. Aaron Pittman won the 400 and triple jump for Waterford (3-3, 1-3). Brian Ciezynski won the shot put and discus for East Lyme (2-4, 0-3).
