VIDEO: Coginchaug beats St. Bernard 6-0 in Class S softball final

West Haven — Lauren Esposito pitched a two-hitter and struck out 11 as second-seeded Coginchaug won the CIAC Class S softball championship Friday night with a 6-0 victory over No. 20 St. Bernard at West Haven High School.

Esposito also had a two-run triple in a three-run fourth for Coginchaug, while Tara Kowalski and Mena Buscetto had the hits for St. Bernard, which finishes 15-10.
