Groton — Fitch High School will hold its Class of 2021 Athletic Hall of Fame induction ceremony on Sunday, Nov. 14, at the St. Mary Redmeemer Church banquet hall, athletic director Marc Romano announced.

The list includes 16 former athletes, former football coach Bob Weiss, and the 1976 state championship football team led by Weiss.

Tickets for the 1 p.m. event can be purchased in the main office Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Tickets will not be available at the door.

Following is a list of the inductees:

Delores Neff (Class of 1931): Neff was a two-time girls' basketball captain who was named "Best Female Athlete" by her senior class.

Charlie Winkler (1932): Played football, basketball, baseball and track and was the first athlete to ever receive a varsity letter. Was was a defensive back in football and set three track school records in the 220, 440 and long jump.

Ray Erb (1940): Earned six letters in football, basketball and baseball. Was an end in football, a forward in basketball and a pitcher-outfielder in baseball.

Jim McGuire (1935): Earned nine letters in football, basketball and track. Set the discus school record as a senior and was part of the Falcons' Class M state championship indoor track team.

Johnny Livermore (1959): Played basketball and baseball, playing guard and leading Fitch in scoring (23.8) as a senior when the Falcons won the ECC title. He was a shortstop on the baseball team.

Teddy Hall (1967): Played football, basketball, baseball and track. Was running back on the football team and earned the Thames Award for his outstanding performance in the Thanksgiving Day game as a senior. Was leading scorer in basketball and participated in hurdles and jumping events in track.

Robin Lowe (1976): Won the State Open 200-yard dash title as a senior, breaking the state record. Lowe also ran the 100, 400 and anchored the 4x400 relay team as the Falcons won a state championship.

Peter Hoops (1977): Was a key member of the football and track programs. Hoops was defensive back on the Class LL state championship team, earning honorable mention all-state honors. Was also a member of conference championship indoor and outdoor track teams.

Joy Flatley (1985): Played volleyball, basketball and softball, earning team MVP honors in volleyball, all-state honors in softball and was named Fitch's 1984 Female Athlete of the Year.

Shawn Rader (1987): Played soccer, indoor track and outdoor track, earning all-state and all-conference honors in each. Was named Defensive Player of the Year in soccer and held Fitch's 300-meter hurdles record for 31 years.

Mark Pan (1991): Played soccer, indoor track and outdoor track. Pan was All-ECC, All-State and All-New England in the 110 hurdles, winning the Class L state title as a senior and finishing as the New England runnerup as a junior.

Ayanti Grant (1977): Was an All-ECC performer and team MVP in indoor and outdoor track. Earned Class L indoor all-state honors as a junior while placing second in the 300, 55 dash and as a member of the 4x200 relay team. Still holds indoor school records in the 300 and 4x360 meter relay.

Mark Olivier (2003): Was captain of cross country, indoor track and outdoor track teams, earning All-State and All-New England status in each sport. Still holds the cross country course record at Haley Farm, and his outdoor track 4x800 relay team is still the current record holder.

Rachel Kent (2005): Qualified for state swimming championships all four years, winning the 50-yard freestyle state title three times and earning All-American honors. Was also a two-time state champ in the 100, and her 50 freestyle record still stands.

Emmett Dignan (2010): Participated in boys’ lacrosse and swimming. Was an All-ECC lacrosse pick three times, a two-time MVP and all-state pick as a senior. Was named The Day's Swimmer of the Year as a senior, winning ECC and state titles and setting a state record in the 200 IM.

Brianna Turgeon (2011): Lettered 10 times in soccer, indoor track and sotball. Batted over .500 during her softball career with a .610 on base percentage and .955 slugging percentage. Turgeon was named the Connecticut Gatorade Player of the Year as a junior and senior.
