Trump gets too much credit for economy, too little blame for tax plan

    President Trump’s “real” accomplishments:

Trump claims he’s the “President for Everyone” and the “Greatest Job Creator!” During 2017, less jobs were created than any year from 2011 thru 2016. He claims the “lowest unemployment rate ever.” True, but President Obama was handed an unemployment of 9.5 percent by Republican Bush, and left it at 4.9 percent. Trump dropped it to 4.2 percent. Trump take a bow? I don’t think so! Trump takes credit for the lowest black unemployment rate in U.S. history. Obama was handed 16.1 percent and left at 7.9 percent. Trump dropped it to 6.8 percent. True, but not a Trump achievement. Trump says, “The economy is better than it has been in decades.” Not so! During 2017 the economy grew at 2.3 percent. Respectable, but less than 2010, 2014, and 2015. Wall Street is doing well, but did better under Obama.

Here’s something Trump has done for/to the worker − the Trump tax.

The top 1 percent receive 83 percent of the total benefit when fully implemented in 2027.

Changes to Obamacare will increase premiums about 10 percent and add $1.5 trillion to the deficit. Congress is preparing cuts to Medicare, Social Security, etc. to pay for it.
