I support Martha Marx, the Democratic candidate for state Senate, 20th District. She has worked very hard to personally meet and listen to constituents in every corner of our district. As a social worker and an 1199NE SEIU union member, her passion and principles impressed me when we met the first time.

Martha’s honesty and sincerity guide her actions to help others. As a father of two young daughters I believe that she has the strength of conviction to protect the rights of the next generation. This is very important to me as my children grow up watching what is happening in Washington and wonder who will protect them, or at least have their backs in struggles they face here in Connecticut. We need strong leaders ready to confront sexism head on, and Martha is no stranger to tough fights for the common good.

The fire and commitment that Martha exhibits is exactly the kind of role model that I want my daughters to emulate. I plan on voting for Martha because she would make a great senator and advocate for all the residents of the 20th District. I know many others who feel the same way.
